FEATURED CONCEPT RENDERING / ORIGINAL PRESENTATION

THE STUDY

Design intent.

The original presentation imagines a wheelchair beyond a purely utilitarian silhouette. Blue and silver surfaces frame an open seating space, with a track-wheel mechanism proposed for different terrain scenarios.

CREDITS

Design study by Heron Tang.

01

Hybrid track-wheel study

The board compares wheel and track configurations as a concept mechanism.

02

A sculpted enclosure

Flowing body surfaces are explored around the seat, side openings and large wheels.

03
