An angled gesture
The starting point is the relationship between a writing instrument and its resting place.
A sculptural resting place for an everyday instrument. An original design by Heron Tang, revisited for the first product release from nP Design.

FORM / LIGHT / EVERYDAY USE
Original visualisation from the PenExquisite Process Book.
ORIGINAL 001
PenExquisite explores how a small, functional object can carry a distinct point of view. An angled pen meets a flowing, transparent form. The process moves from pencil sketches to renderings and resin-printed prototypes.
Design by Heron Tang. Images selected from the original 77-page PenExquisite Process Book. Renderings and prototype photographs are identified separately.
The starting point is the relationship between a writing instrument and its resting place.
Transparent surfaces reveal a different profile from each side.
Resin-printed prototypes bring the design into physical scale.
01 / THE FORM
Original rendering studies. The different bases are part of the design exploration, not a catalogue of finished products.
02 / IN CONTEXT
Glass, patterned light and a writing instrument. The object is explored as part of a workspace, not in isolation.
03 / MADE PHYSICAL
Archive photographs of physical resin prototypes. The display stands shown are separate from the pen holder.
04 / THE FIRST LINES
Personal mobility, reimagined.
